Wine and Cork

Évora and Estremoz, Portugal – 2025. We did a day trip from Évora to João Portugal Ramos Winery near Estremoz where we had a guided tour of the winery and cellars and a lovely lunch paired with some of their better wines. The winery produces a wide variety of red, white, and rosé wines, ranging from entry-level industrial wines to premium single-vineyard offerings. Along the route we passed areas with cork trees, vineyards and small towns. We also stopped at Cortiçarte, a cork processing warehouse in the town of Azaruja.
