Monsanto, Portugal – 2025. Monsanto is known as one of Portugal's most unique and charming villages. The traditional architecture features narrow alleys and stone houses are built in and around massive granite boulders. The village has been inhabited since Paleolithic times. A prominent castle, one of the interior Beira region's impressive military structures, overlooks the village.
