Candlemas Church (Mosque of Pasha Qasim)

Downtown Candlemas Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Pécs, Hungary - 2022 Danube River cruise. This Catholic Church was originally was a Mosque built by Pasha Qasim the Victorious between 1543 and 1546. The mosque was converted into a church in 1702. Both the exterior and the interior of the building retain characteristics of Turkish architecture. We attended an organ concert in the church. The acoustics were grate and the organ music was very enjoyable.
