Budapest, Hungary - 2022 Danube River cruise. If you like to see statues and sculptures Budapest is a must see destination. They are everywhere in the old city, the many squares, on buildings and in parks. Most are older, dating back to the late 18 hundreds when Budapest became the joint capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire along with Vienna. Many are newer and commemorate important political and cultural changes which have occurred in the 20th century.
