Zambia - 2017 I did a two week Habitat for Humanity Global Village Build in Zambia in July 2017. I traveled to Zambia a few days ahead of the rest of the GV team and stayed at Chaminuka Lodge which is a private game reserve and Lodge situated about 25km outside Lusaka. The reserve includes 10,000 acres of mixed woodland and savannah and contains many species of African animals and birds. The accommodations and food was very good and the Lodge has a large collection of African art and antiques. Photos of Chaminuka
We stayed in Lusaka and commuted to and from the build site each day. Lusaka is the capital of Zambia and has a population of well over 3 million. It is a very vibrant and interesting city. Photos of Lusaka
You can’t go to Livingstone and not visit Victoria Falls. I have been to the falls twice before but on the Zimbabwe side so this was the first time seeing them from Zambia. There was lots of water in the Zambezi River so the falls had lots of water going over them. An inspiring sight.
