Castelo de Vide, Portugal – 2025. Castelo de Vide is a charming, historic hilltop town in Portugal's Alentejo region, known for its commanding castle. The town features whitewashed houses with floral displays, steep cobbled lanes and peaceful squares. The castle and its museum were closed the day we visited, but we did get to walk through parts of the old town.
